Weekend in Halmstad!

 Hi!
This weekend I went to Halmstad and enjoyed a great summer weekend! We went drinking beer in the evening in central Halmstad. It is one of the best summer feelings!
I also went to a fashion show at the town square.
And last but not least, I went to the beach! And yes, I had a swim in the ocean!! It was cold! But I loved it!

Doing laundry

 Hello!

This weekend I was doing my laundry. As I live in an apartment we have a laundry room that all the people in the building can use. You have to book a time and then you have four hours to use the washing machine. You put in the dirty cloth in the machine and then you put in the washing powder. After that you mark on the display what program you want and how many degrees. I usually wash my laundry at 40 degrees.

 When the washing is done you can put the wet cloth in the tumble dryer to dry them. We don't have so much sun as in Uganda so you can't hang out the laundry to dry in the sun! Especially not during the winter when it is snow and ice outside!

After the washing me and my neighbour Carita decided that we wanted to barbecue, so we did! It was the first time this year and it was really nice! Today we had really nice weather so it was perfect for a barbecue! We made filé of pork with irish potatoes and corn on the cob, delicious!!

 Hi!
This weekend my brother and my nieces Wilma and Ella came up to visit me. My brothers girlfriend, Åse, and her two sons, Kevin and Jonathan were also here. We went to the amusement park here in Gothenburg. It is called Liseberg. Check out the website here  www.liseberg.se/sv/hem/. We had so much fun going up and down in all the roller coasters and all other attractions! I went on ALL the rides! I just love amusement parks!!! It makes me feel like a little girl again!

Vikings

Hello!

Yesterday me and my neighbour, Carita, went out to a viking market. The vikings lived in Sweden from around 700 A.D to around 1100 A.D. The vikings were all over Scandinavia, that means Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Iceland. They were merchants and travelled all over the world. They were actually the first people to travel to America! 500 years before Christopher Columbus "discovered" America the vikings had been there!! Pretty cool! The vikings are most famous for being very threatening and violent when coming to a new place. Often they didn't ask or negotiate for the merchandise they just took it with force. This place that we went to yesterday was a viking village that they had built up and you could walk around and see how vikings lived and what they did. Very interesting! The people were also dressed up in clothes that were common at that time. Cool! I wish I could go back in time and be a viking for a day!

 Hi!
Today I'm going to blogg about the spring. After the long and cold winter it is great when it starts to get warmer again and you can sit outside in the sun! The flowers are blossoming and the trees are light green. So beautiful!!! I love the spring! Enjoy the pictures!
